A Place to Breathe

Tucked along the banks of the Potomac River on four private acres, Stoney Point Retreat is the rare kind of place that slows everything down. Trees frame the water. Eagles pass overhead. The world that was 40 minutes away feels like another lifetime.

The property features three thoughtfully designed spaces: a fully refurbished 3-bedroom main cabin with a gas fireplace, a wood-burning stove, and a full gourmet kitchen, a Scandinavian-style tiny house crafted from spruce β€” perfect for couples who want the ultimate private retreat β€” and an off-grid black cabin tucked in the woods.

Outside, a gazebo sits at the water's edge. A stone patio seats twelve. A canoe, two kayaks, and a paddleboard wait at the shore. This is a place where you rediscover what it means to actually rest.

β€œThis is a very special place to stay. We absolutely loved our time here. The house is beautifully designed and it was ideal for us to also use the tiny house since we had a couple families staying together. It was a very nice and easy place to stay with young kids too. We got to see a bald eagle and enjoyed canoeing on the lake - such beautiful nature right in the backyard!! The kitchen was fully appointed and it was nice that they had coffee for us. Highly recommended, would love to come stay again one day!”

β€œWe had a calm and peaceful stay. We've been traveling the length and breadth of America and have been staying in many Airbnbs, historical ones, lakeside homes, mountain retreats...of all these stays this one is the best. It was home, a calm, peaceful place and it gave us the much needed rest and relaxation. It wasn't easy leaving the place.”

β€œAbsolutely beautiful. We visited with our parents and sister from Canada plus our two small children. The bedroom setup including the tiny house and cabin gave us that extra space and personal separation so everyone had their own area. The main house is wonderful. Clean, spacious, minimal, so we didn’t have to worry about little kids and breakables. Everything we needed was accessible. The access to the river and small beach is perfect for the kiddos. Highly recommend visiting.”
